Parent Coach for Opposition and Defiance, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder.                Abel Grebenik, M. A.

Parenting, like any important role, is a set of skills that can be learned, strengthened, and refined over time. Yet most parents are expected to navigate challenging behaviors and family dynamics without guidance or support. That's where coaching can make a meaningful difference.

Through Child Behavior Consultation and Parent Coaching, I work with families in their homes or virtually to provide practical, individualized strategies that create lasting change. Together, we will:

  • Identify your family's goals and define behaviors of concern in clear, practical terms.
  • Develop personalized coaching strategies to:
    • Prevent challenging behaviors and encourage positive, adaptive behaviors.
    • Build effective replacement skills for both your child and you.
    • Respond to challenging behavior in ways that promote learning and long-term success.
  • Collaborate with everyone who plays an important role in your child's life to create consistency and support.
  • Design and facilitate productive family meetings when appropriate.

My coaching style is direct, collaborative, and results-focused. My goal is to equip you with the tools and confidence to create meaningful progress as efficiently as possible, so my services remain a temporary source of support rather than a long-term dependency.

If you're looking for practical guidance and a personalized approach to helping your family thrive, I'd be happy to discuss how I can support you. Please reach out with any questions or to learn more about my practice.

Like most things we do in life, parenting is a skill.  However, many parents receive little or no training in child development and behavior, developmental psychology, and learning theory.  - See more at: http://www.drericar.com/coaching/#WhoShould
